Senior Accountant - Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Accounts Payable & Billing Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
General Ledger & Reconciliation Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions Audit & Internal Controls Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and company policies.
Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Financial Analysis & Reporting Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Prepare financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
Software Proficiency Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including the use of pivot tables and Power Pivot for data analysis.
Experience with accounting software such as SAP , JD Edwards , or similar ERP systems.
Familiarity with financial reporting tools and software.
Language Skills Fluency in English , with proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish being advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.
g.
, ACA, ACCA, CPA).
Minimum of 35 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
