Sr. Product Manager, Renewed Program, Marketplace

The Amazon Marketplace is a critical part of the Amazon consumer business which offers millions of sellers the opportunity to build and grow their business using Amazon’s reach and expertise. Sellers are our customers and we help them to sell their products to hundreds of millions of customers world-wide.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to launch and drive key initiatives to grow the Renewed program in Brazil, evolving how customers shop for used products on Amazon. You will work with teams across Amazon globally to build out and refine the vision and operational/technical playbooks for products that will both surprise and delight Amazon's customers and contribute meaningfully to the company's sustainability efforts.

This is a high-impact role with goals to invent and operationalize new experiences for customers and deliver significant growth for our used businesses.

The ideal candidate is:
  • Launch the program in Brazil, being responsible for end-to-end implementation for Renewed in BR.
  • Excited by the prospect of operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with the opportunity to pioneer new ideas and operationalize them quickly and effectively to develop Brazilian-customer-friendly purchasing experience of used product
  • Adept at creating a large vision, simplifying that vision into smaller milestones, and working with partners to deliver operational and technical results
  • Customer-obsessed, adept at using both data and anecdotal evidence to drive innovation
  • Comfortable managing a diverse set of stakeholders spread across multiple teams and levels
  • Skilled at communicating both verbally and through writing, including with senior leaders
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and analytical
Key job responsibilities
  • Drive the launch for Renewed program in Brazil, setting a high quality bar for Customer and Seller experience.
  • Drive new product initiatives for the Renewed, implementing new features to BR to expand the program based on Global benchmarks.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for program improvement, and influence product roadmaps / key stakeholders across the company.
  • Work closely with account management stakeholders to improve operational mechanisms.
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders, compliance, and engineering teams to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
  • Share best practices with WW counterparts contributing to a broader global strategy.
  • Bring a commercial perspective to engage with main Sellers in BR´s Renewed Product in order to expand selection and seller base.

Renewed is a program that allows vetted sellers to list pre-owned products that meet Renewed's high quality bar. This allows value conscious customers to find quality products at a discount. We aspire to transform how Customers discover and buy high-quality pre-owned products by providing a Customer experience that combines the trust and convenience of buying New with the savings and sustainability value of buying Used.
We earn Customer trust by setting a high and consistent bar for like-new product quality, qualifying and performance managing Suppliers and attaching an extended warranty to all Renewed products.- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Commercial knowledge and abilities to deal with sellers.
